[…] Dieses [Buch]-Kapitel trägt den Titel »Die Unvergleichlichen« und ist darin erneut eine Referenz auf Roussels Impressions d’Afrique, wo die Gruppe der Artisten sich Les incomparbles, also »die Unvergleichlichen« nennt. Having regarded the images and read the captions, of course, this turns out to be a misconception: the photograph of the burnt-out car was taken in Vienna, outside the photographer’s front door. […] This chapter is entitled »The Incomparables« and is another reference to Roussel’s Impressions d’Afrique, in which the group of artistes call themselves »Les incomparables«. […]
